
Fashion Designer Khadija Shah Resumes Work After Bail in Riots Case
Fashion designer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter Khadija Shah has returned to her professional duties after being released on bail following months of detention.
Khadija Shah was granted bail by an anti-terrorism court in Quetta last month in connection with riots that occurred on May 9. She surrendered to Punjab police in Lahore on May 23 last year and had been detained since then. Allegations against her involved her purported involvement in inciting violent protests following the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan in a corruption case.

Making the announcement on her Instagram account, Khadija Shah shared a poster with the caption "Our Creative Director Khadijah Shah is back: Elan Reignites," signaling her formal return to work.
Expressing gratitude to her Pakistani supporters for their unwavering backing, Khadija Shah attributed her release to the collective prayers of her followers. She expressed her excitement to resume her role at the forefront of Elan and Zaha, emphasizing her commitment to contributing to the country's creative landscape.
Khadija Shah affirmed her dedication to serving Pakistan and its people, pledging to continue striving for excellence in her endeavors. As the daughter of former federal and Punjab cabinet member Salman Shah, she reiterated her determination to make Pakistan proud through her work.

The May 9 protests resulted in the arrest of numerous PTI workers and supporters nationwide, leading to the departure of several party leaders.
